tODAY I wanted to show you all some skincare/beauty stuff I got from Lush and Kiehl's. I was so happy to be back in Lush since I had not been there since September? Or December?
Anyways click these links right hurr to see my haul and pictures from then ---> http://wonderstruckhappiness.blogspot.com/2013/01/lush-haul.html http://wonderstruckhappiness.blogspot.com/2012/12/my-first-time-at-lush.html
FROM LUSH:
Karna Kream- hand and body lotion ($28.95)
It is pretty moisturizing and feels very light on the skin, which is nice because I hate the feeling of super heavy/thick products on skin. This lotion has a pleasant simple scent that has a sort of orange-y smell to it. It's not too overpowering or strong, its just slight and light. :) A bit on the pricier side but I think it is worth it. **4/5 Stars**
Ayesha- fresh face mask ($6.95)
Yes, yes, I know the picture of the product is so not appealing but we kind of had in in the car on a warm day for a couple hours... (oops) Anyways, i unfortunately have not had the time to try it out yet, but I'm excited to because it promises to "brighten dull spots" and "transformed into bright, glowing skin." As soon as I try this product out, I will do a review!
None of Your Beeswax- vegan lip balm ($7.25)
I actually went into the store looking for a lip scrub. The Lush people are very friendly and helpful so they let me try out the lip scrub. I believe I used the mint Julips one; it was definitely tasty, but just wasn't as good for my lips as I'd hoped. They also let me use the lip balm afterwards so i tried out Lip Service which I liked; it was very moisturizing. unfortunately they only had the sample product of Lip Service so the cashier recommended None of Your Beeswax instead, saying they are pretty similar. So I got this one instead and I actually like it better than Lip Service. I use it pretty much every day over some Vaseline and ta-da! My lips are super smooth and great... And its vegan! **5/5**
FROM KIEHL'S:
Creme de Corps- Soy Milk and Honey Whipped Body Butter ($38)
The saleslady recommended this to me because I was looking for a good body butter. (I went to Kiehl's before Lush) The texture of this feels really nice since it is whipped, and feels light and cool on your skin. It is pretty moisturizing, about the same abilities as the one from Lush( maybe a little longer lasting since it is a body butter). The only problem I have with it is the smell. I actually really liked the scent at first, it has a nice almost vanilla ice cream scent, but it later grew to be too strong and overpowering. Also it is a bit overpriced... **3.5/5**
Creme de Corps- Soy Milk and Honey Body Polish ($30)
This is from the same collection as the body butter above, same scent, but it is a polish for your skin. It is basically an exfoliater that gets rid of all your dry and dead skin. This works pretty well, I use it on my dry elbows and knees/legs, and I've already noticed a difference. It does what it says and I use it almost every day in the shower. Surprisingly, It does not that the soy milk and honey (the vanilla ice cream) scent of the body butter, which I am glad of. It actually doesn't really have a scent, at least not that I've noticed. **4/5**
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this quick haul/review! :)
