My first time at Lush

Hey so over the weekend I did something very exciting! I finally went to Lush! I saw the store while driving to lunch and I was like "We have to stop!" If you don't know what Lush is, it's a brand/store that makes handmade cosmetics, bath soaps, beauty items.... Its a really cool and original concept. Their bath bars/ products are so colorful and yummy smelling, and look like pastries; they are so perfect looking. I didn't buy anything beacause it was my first time so I thought I'd go home and do some research on which products are best. Also, I'll probably wait for Christmas to buy them since they're kind of on the more pricey side. But I guess its worth it for what it is and the quality. SO here are some pictures of my experience at Lush!!

These are bath soaps/bath bars (not really sure what they're called.) But these were the Christmas'y ones. They had snowmen, and stars, and just little cute holiday themed packages.

Some more bath bars which looked good enough to eat!!

These are all face masks, they're all for different skin types and preferences. These are really cool since they are handmade and natural... (They had masks with ingredients like lavender for dull skin, chocolate for oily skin, honey for deep cleansing...)

These are their face cleansers, which look pretty awesome. They're like rolls and you just cut off how much you want. I'm thinking of trying their Agua Marina cleanser, since its good for sensitive skin. And it looks like a giant sushi roll!

Just some more products that I liked or  thought were cool.... The gorilla perfume, shampoo bars, some more bath bars, ...

I am so excited to go back to Lush and buy some things I've been looking at on their website! Hope to go back soon. Their customer service is actually pretty good too. The employees try to help you out with everything and find what you're looking for, recommend products for you preference.
Anyways, hope you all enjoyed these pictures and hearing about my first Lush experience.. :)

Holiday TAG!

Hey ya'll!December is finally here, but its still kind of warm where I live...Anyways I saw this on youtube recently and it seemed fun so I decided to do it. This is the Holiday Tag which was created by Macbarbie07 who is a beauty guru on Youtube. Soo here goes!

1) Which holiday do you celebrate?
- I celebrate Christmas!!

2) What are you doing for the holidays this year?
- I'm visiting family in New Jersey and Rhode Island, which I'm very excited about.

3) Favorite Holiday Drink?
- Either the Caramel Brulee Latte or White Peppermint mocha from Starbucks... I basically love all the holiday drinks at Starbucks! :)

4) Candy Cane or Gingerbread Man?
- Candy Cane!!! And I've also never had a gingerbread man so I wouldn't know how it tastes but I love candy canes.

5) Favorite Holiday/Christmas Song?
- Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer is a classic but I also like Last Christmas and Jingle Bells.

6) Have you ever made a snowman?
- Yes of course! And the first time I made a snowman was when I first saw snow fall I think.. But yeah, I think my snowman was pretty awesome for being my first!

7) Favorite Winter Fragrance?
- Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift, but that's my favorite for all seasons, so I also like Be Enchanted by Bath and Body Works.

8) What is most important to you about the holidays?
- I think the most important thing for me during the holidays is just spending time with family and having a good time. Everyone is so happy during the holidays and so am I. Its so important to be with family and let them know how much you love them and appreciate them by spending time with them and making memories. I also love the food part of Christmas, that's pretty important too. ( Who doesn't like cookies and milk and Christmas dinner?) :D

Enjoy this picture of my dog wishing you Happy Holidays in his Christmas sweater!

My winter favorites!

Hi everyone! So I just wanted to share some of my essentials and favorites for the cold winter time/holidays!

I absolutely love winter fashion because I love wearing warm sweaters and scarves and boots!

My next favorite of winter is the hot holiday Starbucks drinks. They are so amazing and make you feel so happy inside! :) My favorites are the caramel brullee latte, peppermint hot cococa, and the white chocolate mocha.

Okay, the next thhing I'm going to talk about is a must have essential for winter. My skin gets really dry in the cold days so my hands will get all cracked, my lips chapped, face dry. So I'' always use a good mositurizer. I like to use the L'Occitane cream for my hands, Carmex or EOS balms for my chapped lips, and my Neutrogena  Naturals moisturizer for my face.

And I think that's all for now, guys! Leave a comment below of your favorite wintertime products/ items.

Anyways, I decorated my room very Christmas-y and its pretty awesome. I put up colorful Christmas lights around my windows. gold and purple ornaments around my bed, added some penguins and snowmen plushes . It just makes it feel more festive.

Turkey Day Festivities

HI  there! So it's Saturday right now and I was going to post these pictures yesterday on Friday but I had a busy day. I went Black Friday shopping a few hours after Thanksgiving dinner but didn't buy anything because it was too crazy there. Anyways, I had a pretty great Thanksgiving... I had dinner with the family and some family friends. And I ate a lot of  (good) food, which  always makes you feel happy!

Our table setting for Thanksgiving...

Appetizers! We had different cheeses, salami, fruits, and crackers laid out.

Our ham, which we baked with pineapples and rosemary and thyme..

Baked sweet potatoes seasoned with different herbs.

My dad carving the turkey, which was new to him. :)

All the food laid out and ready! Some food dishes not pictured that we had were potato gratin, ratatouille, and the apple cider. For the apple cider, which was from Trader Joe's, we cooked it with spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice for a nice warm drink.

For dessert we had: key lime pie, apple cake, and pears.

So we had very diverse food this Thanksgiving, we had the ratatouille and potato gratin from my parents friends who are from France, and apple cake from my parents Italian friends. Probably the most interesting and the best Thanksgiving I've had! How was your Thanksgiving? Comment below!

Fall/Winter Fashion 2012

As most of you know, my favorite season is fall/winter. The reason is I love fall/winter fashion. It's just so cozy and warm and stylish. So here are some fall winter trends for 2012 as well as some of my favorite clothing pieces for this season.

The big color of this season is this gorgeous deep burgundy red, basically on anything...Jackets, pants, shirts, sweaters, skirts, dresses, shoes and purses. It's also very popular in the beauty world with deep red lipstick or nail polish. I love this trend because the color is so versatile and classy.

The next big thing of this season is the military trend... Military colors like dark green or olive,  military style jackets/coats, and military boots(which are my favorite) The military style in coats is really popular as it is simple and clean looking but it is also stylish and trendy.

Leather is another trend for these colder seasons approaching. It can be worn so many ways, in jackets, coats, skirts, dresses, and shoes. I really love wearing leather jackets with my fall/winter clothing since it really just pulls the outfit together.

Hope you found this helpful and have a great Thanksgiving!

My room makeover update!

Hey guys! Its really cold here which I love, since my favorite season if fall/winter and I can start wearing sweaters and boots and drink caramel brulee lattes! :)
So this is a follow up on  my previous blog post about my room renovations... Here are a few more updates to my room and DIY room ideas.

So we decided to add a cute little touch to my fabric wall by adding little gemstones to the black ribbon. We used the regular silver rhinestones you can find anywhere and glued a whole bunch on. We used super glue at first but that didn't really work out since it got everywhere and was too messy. So then we used Super-tac gem glue which is specially made for glueing rhinestones onto materials like ribbon, fabric, etc.

Overview of whole wall... The little wall decoration next to the fabric is from Hobby Looby, for those of you wondering). I'm still debating what exactly to put on the center of my fabric wall thing. Maybe a clock or some frames. Leave me a comment below on what I should do.... And there's my dog just chilling like a villain. Silly Mochi, you... :)

So thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Working on my new room-- Diy fabric on walls

Hey everyone, so hope you had a good Halloween! As ya'll know I'm getting my room redone so that's a lot of fun! But we are doing all the stuff by ourselves, with mostly simple DIY projects. One of my favorite DIY project I'm doing for my room is the fabric wall I have next to my bed. So below is the process and the how-to for this project.

So these are all the materials we used... Some fabric (mine's from Hobby Lobby), scissors, ribbon, the little staple gun things, and crown moulding to frame the fabric.

So we just positioned the fabric on the wall how we wanted it and just started stapling the whole thing on the sides. Make sure its going to be properly secured by stapling the top, both sides, and the bottom. While you're stapling, make sure that you're flattening the fabric as you go across so its not all uneven and bumpy.

Then we added some simple black ribbon (you can get this anywhere, JoAnn's, Micheals). we glued this on with some strong fabric glue. Flatten the ribbon as you go to avoid the bumps.

We then added the crown moulding, which just gives it the final touch. So we just nailed the crown moulding in the wall, adding the nails every 5 or 6 inches. This way it is sure to stay and be secure.

Ta-da! There you go. The final result! A beautiful easy DIY wall project to just make any boring wall interesting and fun!

Thanks for reading! I''ll be posting more about my new room and the stuff we are adding(which I'm very excited for), and more DIY projects for your room. :)
