Its that exciting time of a teenage girl's life...prom dress shopping!!!
One must find the perfect dress for that important time in their high school career...a dress to remember.
I set out last weekend with that goal. Here are the results...
(P.S. my dress goals were: long & elegant, classy, shimmering, comfortable, and most importantly- under $100)
The first place I went to was Macy's, where I expected affordable and beautiful dresses. Well, I was right about the latter, but as for affordable...eh...I was disappointed in that part.
Anyways, this is the first dress I tried on. It featured a bedazzled bodice with tiny glittering gems, a long tulle skirt, and a gorgeous creme color. When I twirled around in it, I truly felt like a princess. However, the price was a hundred dollars over my budget so that was a no for me.
The second and third dresses I tried on were in the same design, but in different colors. Betsy and Adam is the name of the designer. I loved both colors, but the blue one made me feel like Elsa, so I think it's fair to say I fell in love with that one slightly more. The dresses matched all my "perfect dress" qualifications almost perfectly - it was bedazzled at the bodice, it was long and flowy, perfect colors, etc. Plus, it had a sassy little leg slit! It was almost perfect, yes, except for one key thing...the price. It was nearly 400 dollars! It was heartbreaking. A girl can dream... (I guess another con was the extremely deep V of the neckline, which would not really be appropiate for a school dance).

I left Macy's and decided to try a (hopefully) more affordable place, Sak's Fifth Avenue. There, I found this dress - I did not love it in the store but when I got home and tried it on, I definitely enjoyed it a lot more. The back of the dress is especially my favorite. The dress feautures a very long train, very princess-like; a fully sparkled bodice, and multiple layers of thin soft skirt. I felt like a mermaid in this dress!
So there it is...my prom dress shopping adventures thus far! I'll keep you all updated on anything new regarding prom and for sure, post photos on that special day! Thanks for reading! <3
